Team Miami 17U showcases their grit and competitiveness in Wichita for the first Live Period (5/19/2025)
Team Miami 17U went 2-2 this weekend at the live period in Wichita, Kansas, against great competition. The squad battled and pushed one of the best PRO16 teams to the brink in a great back-and-forth game.
In their first game, they played a talented FVV team on Friday and suffered a 65-72 loss. It was an incredible game, a true battle between the two teams. The pace was good, and at the end of the day, the ball didn’t bounce our way at the very end. Despite that, Ethan Taylor had an impressive performance, recording a double-double with 23 points and 10 rebounds. 2028 6’10 C Jermaine Agyeman contributed with 10 points and 2 blocks. Guards Alec Arnholt and Devin McIntyre combined for 19 points and led the team.
The next day, the squad played one of the top PRO16 teams in the circuit, Team CPSA PRO16 17U. The squad came out swinging first and jumped out to an early lead. Towards the end of the first half, Team CPSA took advantage of the cold shooting streak and went on a run to go up 36-24 at the end of the half. The boys continued to battle and had some big shots knocked down by Lucas Diaz to cut the game within six with over a minute left. The comeback fell just short in one of the best games of the weekend, losing 56-61. Lucas Diaz was on fire with 14 points (4-6 from three), and Ethan Taylor had another double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds. Devin McIntyre held his own with 14 points and 3 assists, and Alec Arnholt was the floor general with 5 points and 6 assists.
The team bounced right back against Pressure and won 69-34. It was the second game in the back-to-back and the boys got their groove back quickly. The dominant win saw Lucas Diaz continue his hot streak, scoring 15 points and shooting 60% from the field. Devin McIntyre didn’t miss and had 16 points and shot 80% from three. Ras Olop had 10 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists. Jermaine Agyeman recorded 8 points and 6 rebounds while Ryan Miranda filled up the stat sheet with 7 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals. Lucas Baldor had 6 points and made winning plays as well.
In their final game, 17U defeated Off Two, 75-63. It was a great team performance as everyone contributed in multiple ways. The team played with great pace and energy at 8:00 a.m. and ended the weekend on a high note once again. It was led by a great performance by Willie Dye III. He recorded 14 points, 3 steals, and 5 rebounds. He had multiple dunks and played with great energy. Alec Arnholt was excellent, recording 13 points, 7 assists, 3 steals, 3 rebounds, and 5 deflections. Devin McIntyre had 13 points and 5 assists. Lucas Diaz continued his stellar play with 11 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 steals. Ras Olop was incredibly efficient, recording 13 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 assists on 4 of 6 shooting.

Team Miami 17U goes 3-1 in Session 6 and continues to roll (5/07/2025)
Team Miami 17U went 3-1 in Session 6, responding with toughness after suffering their first-ever loss in the Puma Circuit.
The opening matchup was a battle with a talented Team Ish squad, where, despite the loss, Devin McIntyre (16 pts, 3 ast, 5 reb) and Alec Arnholt (13 pts, 3 ast) showed leadership.
Saturday was all about the bounce-back. First, they defeated the Louisiana Titans 69-61 behind a total team effort led by Arnholt (15 pts, 5 stls), Willie Dye III (12 pts), and Rasmus Olop (10 pts). Ryan Miranda and Lucas Diaz contributed on both ends with key rebounds and assists.
Later that day, the team grinded out a thrilling 66-63 win over Arkansas Assault. McIntyre (23 pts, 5 ast, 5 reb) and Arnholt (15 pts, 5 reb, 4 ast) led again, while Diaz and Miranda delivered timely plays down the stretch.
On Sunday, they closed the weekend with a 65-63 win over PAL Stars. Olop was everywhere (11 pts, 5 ast, 2 blk), McIntyre and Arnholt added 13 apiece, Diaz was lights out from three (12 pts), and Dye III recorded a clutch double-double (10 pts, 11 reb).
Team Miami 17U improves to 11-1 overall in the Puma Circuit and continues to prove they're one of the premier teams in the country.

Team Miami 16U proves they belong in pro16 with great performances after a 3-1 weekend in session 6 in Birmingham (5/05/2025)
Team Miami 16U had a true breakthrough weekend in Birmingham, finishing 3-1 and making a major statement on the national stage.
The weekend opened with a thrilling showdown against PRO16 squad Team Museum. The game was a battle from the opening tip — a back-and-forth affair filled with lead changes and momentum swings. Rodney Holmes, Marcos Alberich, and Julian Perez were outstanding, pushing Team Museum to the brink. The game went to overtime, but 16U came up just short, 58-63. Despite the loss, the team proved they belong with the best of the PRO16 teams.
On Saturday, they bounced back in a big way with a 55-45 win over HWPO Hoops, led by Felipe Ariza’s 18-point outburst. Later that day, Team Miami made program history by defeating PRO16 team — 1OF1 — for their first-ever win over a PRO16 squad, 59-50. Julian Perez led the way with 18 points while Brandon Bloch added 11 in a tough, disciplined win.
They closed the weekend on Sunday with a dominant 50-34 win over a very well-coached Kentuckiana Hoops team. Rodney Holmes was unstoppable, posting 16 points and an incredible 20 rebounds. Julian Perez added 10 points, 7 boards, and 5 assists to cap off his strong weekend.

Team Miami 15U goes 2-2 in session 6 in Birmingham with great flashes (5/05/2025)
Team Miami 15U went 2-2 this weekend in a gritty Session 6 showing in Birmingham, moving to 8-4 overall in the Puma NXT Circuit. The weekend opened with a tough 46-52 loss in a back-and-forth battle, highlighted by strong performances from Jason Padron and Samuel Hincapie.
Day two saw the squad split their doubleheader, starting with a thrilling 56-54 win over the Roanoke Rockets. Padron led the way with 23 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals, while Aidan Spenkuch had a breakout game with 19 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists, and four threes.
In the second game, they faced a talented Palmetto Pride group and fell 54-68 in a game that was much closer than the final score suggests. The boys battled until the final minutes in a hard-fought effort.
They closed the weekend strong with a 61-58 win over PAL STARS in an intense Sunday matchup. Hincapie finished with 12 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 steals. Padron added 15 points and 6 boards, while Spenkuch came up clutch down the stretch to seal the win.

Team Miami 17U closed out Session 2 of the Puma NXTPRO Circuit in dominant fashion, defeating WGS Basketball 69-41 to finish a perfect 4-0 in Kansas City — marking back-to-back undefeated weekends.
From the opening tip, they controlled the pace and played with intensity on both ends. It was a full team effort, with contributions across the board and a locked-in mentality that never wavered.
Lucas Diaz led the way with 17 points, 2 assists, and 2 steals, showcasing his scoring ability and defensive energy. Willie Dye III continued his strong play inside, finishing with 13 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 blocks while shooting 60% from the field. Lucas Baldor stayed hot from deep, hitting 3-of-4 from beyond the arc for 9 points. Team Miami 17U continued their impressive run at Session 2 of the Puma NXTPRO Circuit, going 2-0 on Day Two and notching a signature win over one of the top programs in the event.
In Game 1, Team Miami handled a talented Team KaCiago group, pulling away in the second half for a 78-55 victory. Ethan Taylor set the tone with 14 points, while Devin McIntyre led all scorers with 21. Alec Arnholt chipped in 12, and Rasmus Olop added 10 in a well-rounded performance.
The second game was a heavyweight battle against PAC 17U NXT — one of the most respected programs on the Puma circuit. In a game where things didn’t always go Team Miami’s way, the team showed toughness and poise, grinding out a 63-53 win to close the day. A true statement win.

Team Miami 16U continued their strong Puma NXTPRO Circuit campaign by going a perfect 4-0 in Session 2, showing their growth, chemistry, and relentless style of play.
They opened the weekend with a 58-44 win over RSE Basketball, led by Marcos Alberich’s 24 points and 5 rebounds on 11-of-16 shooting. Alejandro Bird filled the stat sheet with 11 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists, and 5 steals. Rodney Holmes added 6 points and 6 rebounds, while Favio Laverde chipped in 7 points and 4 steals.
In their second game, they defeated Omaha Elite 58-31 behind a balanced attack. Rodney Holmes led the way with 14 points, followed by Marcos Alberich with 10 and Felipe Ariza with 9.
Their third win was their most impressive yet, dismantling one of the top programs in the Puma Circuit, PAC NXT, with a 70-43 victory. Alejandro Bird was electric, finishing with 15 points, 10 steals, and 3 assists. Marcos Alberich stayed hot with 16 points, 3 steals, and 4 rebounds on 67% shooting, and Rodney Holmes posted a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds (8-12 FG).
They closed out the weekend with a dominant 61-24 win over Waukee Jam. Julian Perez led with 16 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 assists. Felipe Ariza added 10 points, including 2-of-3 from deep. Rodney Holmes and Brandon Bloch each had 8 points, and Bird controlled the pace with 6 assists and 3 steals, while Alberich added 10 points to round out the scoring.
Back-to-back undefeated weekends for Team Miami 16U, who continue to prove themselves as one of the most complete squads in the circuit. They improve their overall record to 8-0.

Team Miami 15U Shows Growth with Flashes in Up-and-Down Session 2 (4/06/25)
Team Miami 15U wrapped up Session 2 of the Puma NXTPRO Circuit with a 2-2 record, showing both their potential and areas for improvement during a weekend full of valuable lessons.
They got off to a slow start in their opener, falling 27-41 to a tough Colorado Collective squad. Coming straight off the flight and into game action, the group struggled to find a rhythm and couldn’t recover after a sluggish start.
However, they bounced back in a big way in Game 2, dominating Fort Bend Texas Heat 78-45. Jason Padron led the charge with 19 points, 5 assists, and 3 rebounds on 57% shooting. Ryder Schiffner added 15 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 steals, while Antes Perkins Jr. (10 pts, 4 rebs), Timothy Romer (8 rebs, 2 stl), and Brandon Lathan Jr. (8 pts, 2 blocks) all made key contributions in the bounce-back win.
Their best moment of the weekend came in a thrilling comeback victory over Missouri Flight, 64-56. Padron again delivered with 19 points, 8 rebounds, and 3 assists (58% FG). Aidan Spenkuch (12 pts, 5 reb), Samuel Hincape (10 pts, 3 ast, 3 stl on 75% FG), and Kris Delva (8 pts on perfect shooting) all stepped up in clutch moments.
The weekend ended in heartbreaking fashion as they lost a back-and-forth battle to 816 Hoops Shamet, 54-56, on a last-second three-pointer. Despite the tough loss, the game provided valuable experience for a team continuing to grow together.
Team Miami 15U leaves Session 2 at 2-2 and with their overall record being 6-2, with clear flashes of their ceiling. With continued growth and chemistry, this group has all the tools to take another leap forward in the next session.

Team Miami 17U battled through adversity and came out on top in a gritty win over a tough Mile High Collective squad. In a game that went down to the wire, the group showed poise and toughness to stay undefeated.
Devin McIntyre led the charge with 15 points and 8 assists, keeping the offense flowing and making big plays down the stretch. Ethan Taylor stuffed the stat sheet once again with 14 points, 5 assists, 6 rebounds, and 3 steals, impacting the game on both ends. Jon Weir was a force on the glass, finishing with 10 points and 13 rebounds—including 6 offensive boards—that gave Team Miami key second-chance opportunities.
Rasmus Olop delivered one of the biggest moments of the game, knocking down a clutch three-pointer to give Team Miami a three-point lead with under a minute to play. He finished with 7 points. Jermaine Agyeman held it down in the paint with 7 points and 9 rebounds, continuing to be a strong presence inside.
Lucas Baldor and Lucas Diaz made key plays throughout the game, and Ryan Miranda brought energy and solid play. It was a true team win and a test the group passed with grit.
Team Miami 17U will play their second game of Session 2 tomorrow afternoon, April 5th, at the AdventHealth Sports Park at Bluhawk on Court 2 at 12:20 p.m. against Team KaCiago. The third game will be against PAC 17U NXT on Court 1 at 2:20 p.m.

Team Miami 15U Shines in First Puma NXTPRO Session, Goes 4-0 in Dallas, Texas (3/30/25)
Team Miami 15U made a strong statement in their first-ever Puma NXTPRO session, finishing undefeated at 4-0. The team showed major improvements throughout the weekend, and their time bonding in Dallas played a key role in their success. With an average victory margin of 31.8 points, they proved they belong on the big stage.
The weekend started with a 49-25 win over Unity Basketball. Defensive intensity and ball movement improved as the game progressed. Jason Padron (10PTS, 5AST, 5REB, 3STL), Aidan Spenkuch (6PTS, 8REB, 3AST), and Samuel Hincape (13PTS, 5-6 FG, 3-4 3PT) led the way.
In their second game, they defeated Hard2Guard Tae 64-33. Despite a slow start, the team finished strong with support from the older Team Miami squads. Jason Padron (13PTS, 4AST), Ryder Schiffrin (12PTS, 50% FG), Kris Delva (14PTS, 4-6 3PT), Aidan Spenkuch (4PTS, 5REB, 6STL), and Brandon Lathan Jr. (5PTS, 3STL) contributed to the win.
Their most impressive win came against YB33 Wildcats, a highly competitive and really good team. Everyone stepped up, with Jason Padron (17PTS, 86% FG), Kris Delva (13PTS, 5REB), Ryder Schiffrin (8PTS, 3STL, 75% FG), Samuel Hincape (8PTS, 5AST, 3STL), and Aidan Spenkuch (7PTS, 7REB) leading the way.
They closed out the session with a dominant 70-35 win over Team OAM. Ryder Schiffrin (21PTS, 5REB, 59% FG), Antes Perkins Jr. (9PTS, 7REB, 5AST, 3STL), Liam Spenkuch (17PTS, 4REB, 4AST), Aiden Balado (11PTS, 6REB, 3STL), and Brandon Lathan Jr. (8PTS, 5REB, 4AST) capped off a fantastic weekend.
Team Miami 15U made a statement in their Puma NXTPRO debut and will look to build on this momentum in the session next week. They’ll travel to Overland Park, Kansas next weekend and face Colorado Collective on April 4th at AdventHealth Sports Park at Bluhawk on Court 8 at 7:10 p.m.

Team Miami 16U Dominates First Puma NXTPRO Session, Goes 4-0 (3/30/25)
Team Miami 16U made a statement in the first session of the Puma NXTPRO Circuit, finishing undefeated with a perfect 4-0 record. Their fast-paced, high-energy style of play overwhelmed opponents, leading to a dominant weekend with an average victory margin of 27.8 points per game.

In their second game, Team Miami dismantled the DeSoto Mavericks 86-28. Ale Bird stuffed the stat sheet (7PTS, 10AST, 7STL), while Julian Perez (18PTS), Brandon Bloch (13PTS, 7STL), Favio Laverde (14PTS), Alex Alfonso (11PTS, 4STL), and Marcos Alberich (9PTS) all played key roles. The Belen duo of Felipe and Favio, along with Demoni Escoffery, and Rodney Holmes, provided strong contributions.
Against Baller Nation, they secured a 61-36 win despite not playing their cleanest game. Marcos Alberich exploded for 24PTS (83% FG, 83% 3PT), Rodney Holmes (14PTS, 6REB, 3BLK, 4STL) was everywhere, and Ale Bird (5PTS, 4STL, 6REB) contributed across the board.
In the finale, they took down a tough, well-coached DJW Academy squad 66-54. After a competitive first half, Team Miami locked in and closed strong. Rodney Holmes led with 24PTS, 10REB (60% FG), while Julian Perez (17PTS, 4REB, 3AST), Marcos Alberich (11PTS, 5REB), and Ale Bird (6PTS, 6STL, 4REB, 3AST) played key roles.
With a 27.8 PPG average victory margin, Team Miami 16U proved they are a force in the Puma NXTPRO Circuit, setting the stage for an exciting season ahead. They travel to Overland Park, Kansas next weekend and face RSE Basketball on April 4th at AdventHealth Sports Park at Bluhawk on Court 7 at 9:20 p.m.

Team Miami 17U Finishes Puma NXTPRO Session 1 Undefeated (3/30/25)
Team Miami 17U capped off an impressive first session in the Puma NXTPRO Circuit with a strong win over Oklahoma Wolfpack, finishing the weekend undefeated (4-0). The team showcased their chemistry, depth, and high-level play, setting the tone for the rest of the circuit.
Devin McIntyre led the way with an all-around performance, recording 10 points, 8 assists, and 7 rebounds while controlling the pace of the game. Alec Arnholt was a key offensive spark, finishing with 14 points and 3 steals while shooting 50% from the field. Ryan Miranda was highly efficient, contributing 9 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals while shooting an impressive 80%.
Ethan Taylor and Jermaine Agyeman played key roles, providing toughness and making crucial plays on both ends. With a perfect record to close out Session 1 in Dallas, Team Miami 17U has established itself as a serious contender in the Puma NXTPRO Circuit.

Team Miami 17U Stays Unbeaten, Goes 2-0 on Day Two of Puma NXTPRO Session 1 (3/29/25)
Team Miami 17U continued their strong start in the Puma NXTPRO Circuit, going 2-0 on the second day of competition and improving to 3-0 overall. The team showcased their fast-paced play and unselfish ball movement, dominating both matchups.
In their first game, Team Miami defeated the Tulsa Hustlers 64-47. Ethan Taylor was outstanding, leading the way with 18 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 steals while shooting an efficient 67% from the field. Jonathan Weir was just as impressive, adding 16 points and 8 rebounds on 80% shooting. Devin McIntyre and Alec Arnholt facilitated the offense well, each contributing 8 points and 6 assists. Rasmus Olop also made an impact with 7 points and 3 assists.
In the second game, Team Miami picked up another dominant win, defeating the YB33 Wildcats 55-35 by pushing the tempo and controlling the pace. Weir led with 14 points and 4 rebounds, while Devin added 8 points and 2 assists. Alec was a defensive force with 7 points, 5 deflections, 3 assists, and 3 steals.
While still not playing to their full potential, Team Miami 17U remains undefeated in their first Puma NXTPRO session, showing promise for the rest of the circuit.

Team Miami 17U Wins Puma NXTPRO Circuit Debut Against Hard2Guard (3/28/25)
Team Miami 17U made a strong statement in their Puma NXTPRO Circuit debut, securing a 72-64 victory over Hard2Guard (Zai). The team played with great pace and energy, despite having a slow start to the game execution-wise. Team Miami picked up the slack in the second half and set the tone early, starting with the defensive end. Getting key stops and running in transition led to them taking the lead and never giving it back.
Alec Arnholt led the way with a stellar outing, finishing with 17 points, 3 assists, and 3 rebounds while shooting an efficient 60% from the field. Devin McIntyre provided an offensive spark, tallying 14 points, 4 assists, and 3 rebounds. Jonathan Weir was also key, matching Devin with 14 points and 3 rebounds while shooting 60%. Ethan Taylor dominated the glass, grabbing 12 rebounds to go along with 9 points, 3 steals, and 2 assists, bringing toughness on both ends of the court.
Ryan Miranda and Willie Dye III also played critical roles, making key plays down the stretch to help secure the win. With a collective and strong team effort in a very physical game, Team Miami 17U is off to a 1-0 start in the Puma NXTPRO Circuit.

Team Miami 16U Impresses in First Scrimmage (3/22/25)
This past Saturday, Team Miami 16U took the court for the first time together in a scrimmage against a local travel team—and they did not disappoint. Despite being their first game as a unit, the team played with chemistry, dominating the game and pushing the pace from start to finish.
Several players stood out in the impressive performance. Julian Perez showcased his speed and craftiness at the point, controlling the tempo and making plays. Ale Brid was a true floor general, setting up teammates and knocking down shots when needed. Rodney Holmes brought energy on both ends, making key defensive stops while contributing offensively. Brandon Bloch was a force, finishing above the rim and battling on the boards. Marcos Albreich proved to be a reliable scoring threat, demonstrating his ability to score at all three levels. Felipe Ariza was consistently knocking down shots and making plays, leading the 16s to a great overall team performance.
Team Miami 16U displayed great potential in their first outing. With more time together, this squad looks poised for a strong summer ahead. They will travel to Dallas, Texas for Session 1 of the Puma Pro16 Circuit with their first game on Saturday, March 29th as they take on YB33 Wildcats at 8:00 a.m at the Duncanville Recreation Center.

Team Miami 17U Dominates in Back-to-Back Scrimmage Wins (3/22/25)
Team Miami 17U took the court this past Saturday for two scrimmages against talented local travel teams, and they came away with two impressive victories. The team showcased strong chemistry, high-level play, and a balanced attack in both matchups with great pace.
Alec Arnholt and Ethan Taylor led the way with standout performances. In the first game, Alec controlled the game, finishing with 17 points and 10 assists, while Ethan made his presence felt with 11 points and 8 rebounds. Rasmus Olop played a significant role as well as he showcased his crafty playmaking skills. The trio from Westwood Christian played well as Devin McIntyre, and Jonathan Weir played key roles as well, providing scoring, playmaking, and defensive intensity with Jermaine Agyeman being a dominant force in the paint, anchoring the defense and controlling the boards. Willie Dye III and Ryan Miranda also had strong contributions, bringing energy and making winning plays on both ends. Belen guards Lucas Diaz and Lucas Baldor played well and topped off a great day of scrimmages for the 17s.
With two convincing wins, Team Miami 17U proved they are a well-rounded squad with depth and talent. Their performance sets the tone for what looks to be a strong season ahead. They will travel to Dallas, Texas for Session 1 of the Puma Pro16 Circuit with their first game on Friday, March 28th against Hard2Guard at Duncanville Fieldhouse Court 4 at 8:15 p.m.

Team Miami 15U Battles in Tough Scrimmage Against Strong Fort Lauderdale Squad (3/22/25)
Team Miami 15U took the floor this past Saturday in a scrimmage against a talented and well-coached team from the Fort Lauderdale area. While the group showed flashes of its potential, the youth of the team was displayed. As they continue to build chemistry and gain experience, their improvement will be exciting to watch.
Despite the challenges, a few players stood out and had some flashes. Guard Jason Padron showcased his physicality and scoring ability inside. Wings Aidan Spenkuch and Aiden Balado showcased their versatility, making plays on both ends of the court.
While there is still work to be done, Team Miami 15U showed promising signs and flashes. They will only get better as they continue to grow together. They’ll travel to Dallas, Texas for Session 1 of the Puma Pro16 Circuit with their first game on Saturday, March 29th at 5:45 p.m. against Unity Basketball from Oklahoma at TBP Athletic Complex.
